Our Fam's first time st this restaurant. Ambiance (5/5) Food (5/5) Service (5/5) I'm surprised how much meat goes per taco, so its quite filling to your tummy. Customers are mixture of families, couples, groups so the place is lively with the murals and neon lights.
WOW! That sums up our experience in all categories. The Taco Shop has fantastic authentic Mexican cuisine, our favourite was the octopus tostadas which were super fresh and flavourful. The cocktails came fast and were flavourful and well balanced. They also have a huge tequila menu, the waitress was able to answer all of our questions and it was fun learning while we tried a variety. Amazing place overall!
This place was such a vibe! Everything you expect from a taco place and more!! We loved the food, and our server was amazing! I highly recommend eating here while visiting the WEM. My taco salad was everything, I really enjoyed my Pina colada, too! I will definitely be returning for more!
We came here for a succulent mexican meal. The atmosphere was amazing. Bright colours, great music and friendly staff. Our service was awesome. From our interactions with Joyanna at the front to our amazing server Jess, everything was great from a service standpoint. The food was amazing. I always get fish tacos anytime I go to a Mexican restaurant. The fish was crisp on the outside and juicy on the inside. The tortillas were perfect. My wife had the Crispy salad with chicken! Let me tell you, the portion is large. Be sure you're hungry or willing to share. I will definitely make a return to The Taco Shop next time I am in Edmonton! Highly recommend!
For two people at 7pm on a Friday night, we waited maybe a max of 10 minutes before being seated. The food was good (tacos al pastor and churros). The plain Jane, classic lime margarita hit the spot. A little loud but overall a nice atmosphere.
What a fantastic place to eat! It was delicious and flavorful. My girlfriends and I dropped in on a Saturday night (my bachelorette party) and service was excellent. We were blown away with the food and drinks. I had a smokey pineapple margarita and it was sooo good I highly recommend you try this place if your looking for authentic Mexican food
Server Christian was absolutely amazing. He gave awesome recommendations, was very charismatic, funny and nice with our two boys and knowledgeable of the menu. Were they the “best tacos I’ve ever had?” No. But the food had big portions, was super flavourful, and we thoroughly enjoyed. We had the salsa experience to start as recommended, the charred salmon tacos, a spicy pork one and the classic beef (forget names) and my youngest had the kids quesadillas. Decor is super-fun as well! Would definitely go again.
After several years back home in Edmonton after living abroad and Toronto, I may have finally found the best tacos in the city! My friend and I stopped here while shopping for lunch and we were not disappointed. We both got the chicken tingas which were perfectly seasoned loaded and we also got taquitos for the table which were just as great. I got the lime margarita which was tasty. Service was on point from start to finish, great ambiance. Maybe next time we’ll get to hear some ambience Spanish language music.
